BETH PORTER

I moved to Bath in 2000 to do some dancing and playing at university. Since then, I have met some and have been lucky enough to play with some of the greatest musicians. (some frequently and others more session work) Currently I am recording/touring with Eliza Carthy, Newton Faulkner, Reg Meuross, String Theory and Emily Maguire.

I am also trying to record and gig my own stuff in my spare time. The band consists of a number of people when available so they are called The Availables. They include Jools Scott, Emma Hooper, Daisy Palmer, Paul MacMahon, Ben Bird, Hannah Porter, Tim Petherick and Pete Gibbs. I also work with a couple of string quartets...The Stringbeans..I like to arrange stuff for that one, (Beach Boys, Beatles, French Cafe, folk etc) and The Bath Spa String Quartet.
