BIG IN LIGHTS

City lights, losing streaks, blank cheques and cocktail drenched summer nights. These are all part of the electric montage that tells the story of Big in Lights. Consumed by the romance and adventure of the films they grew up with, Corey Starks and Brock Freeway, 2 cats from the bad sides of town set out to drag the long forgotten idealisms of 80s culture kicking and screaming (and swaggering) into the present day, leaving behind the logical and rational bi products of the everyday monotony of the 21st century.

Well the wait is over. Big in Lights have conjured up a soundtrack to your new life. A positive and sexy punch of exotic electro flavours and no holds barred tales of victory, losing streaks, sexual attraction and unpredicatable hilarity.

Corey Starks is a fast talking wise guy raised on the pressures and seduction of inner city life. A pioneer of cool. An architect of neon dreams wading through the mundane in search of that sound that feels so fresh and so right, it simply has to be wrong. Brock Freeway is a rookie from the outskirts of town. A smart kid with big dreams ; a legend in his spare time. Some say he has a musical style so refreshing, you'll be wondering where the next keg is coming from. On the day these stray cats met in 2008, the world they knew would never be the same. The dawn of 2009 saw the birth of Big In Lights. The romantic funk-tro has been lived, breathed and slept ever since.

Big in Lights are a journey. They are the story of geeks, losers and average joes everywhere who took the risk, got the girl and managed to get their dad's car back in the garage at the last minute!

"Big in Lights throbs with digital heartache, it relishes in it's own synth drenched layers exploding amongst the chaotic romance of guitars, saxophone, talkbox and drums so massive that Phil Collins had to leave town. So old. So new. So crucial....." Richard Perry

Big in Lights exists because life IS a montage, because the good guy does get the girl and because music shouldnt just make you feel good, it should strip you of your inhibitions and make you feel damn alive.
