MISS CECILY

It is not yet certain whether the research and treatment she has received will prove successful, only time the great healer will tell.

For the meantime, she has gone back to her travelling ways. Performing her songs town after town and always keeping an eye out for her gypsy people whom she has never found..

In recent years she has lived in The UK and Spain, performing in many bars, night clubs and dens of iniquity. In rainy city streets and sunny Spanish plazas and on stages at UK festivals such as Glastonbury, Shambala, Secret Garden, Ashton Court festival,The Bristol Festival, Bristol Harbourside Festival and Rocket in Spain.

She was a finalist in the BBC Radio 2 New Songwriter competition 2008, and received a special mention from KT Tunstall for her entry for The Shure Creative Award Sept 2008.

She has recently released an album of her songs played and arranged with her lovely band of troubadours from Bristol.
Entitled'The World's Still Big Enough' named so because despite her 100 odd years the world is still a vast planet with many places yet to visit and yet to hear her songs!

She is available for performances, with and without her band, song writing, collaboration (musical or otherwise!) session work and workshops.

She also does a good line in the old jazz standards she learnt in the early 1940's whilst hanging out in the clubs of Harlem and New Orleans with her then boyfriend the great jazz spoon player sadly long since passed away; Joey'the spoons' Manchego.
