SYTE AND THE SOUND

Syte and The Sound (SaTS) are a 6-piece live band from Bristol, UK. They play a powerful blend of music ranging from hip-hop, trip-hop, soul, rock, dnb, funk, dub and electronica strong percussion, funky grooves, beautiful, poetic vocals and shimmering electronics with occasional swings into thrash rock and ambient soundscapes in short, the New Trip-Hop.

Since Syte and the Sound exploded onto the scene (forming in early 2009) they have earnt their status as a tour-de-force both live and on record. They have performed all over Bristol, Leicester, Manchester, London and Leeds, and supported such acts as Dead Prez and Example (Top 20 UK artist). Recently they were hand picked out of over 1300 acts to play the Red Stripe Music Awards. And most excitingly they are proud to be on Chai Wallah's roster of new bands for 2010 - so expect to see them at many of this summer's top festivals!
