ARSEQUAKE
Arsequake are Smokey & The Bandit, aka Duncan Pow + Mr Kirk.
They make up two thirds of the infamous Blast DJs trio, residents at Bristol 's The Blast & Shit the Bed nights.
Not much is known about the background of these fellows. One of them has a penchant for growing particularly stupid facial hair and the other one is allegedly a neurotic reclusive genius who needs lubricating via several pints of Gin and Tonic before he will perform.
The pair met at a house party whilst both students in Bristol. Siting a broad range of influences from Metallica, Pantera, Megadeath and System of a Down, via Ed Rush and Optical, Bad Company, Nicky Blackmarket and Congo Natty, to The Bug, Reso, Redlight and Skream (not to mention East 17 and The Shamen on a good day).
Typified by a love of Bass and all things ridiculous (including anything dirty sounding that gets the dancefloor going and the ladies jiggling) Their current sound is a mish mash of many Genres including (but not limited to): Dubstep, Jungle, Booty Bass, UK Funky, Grime, Garage, Techno, House, Baltimore Club, Wearhouse, Fidget, Drum and Bass, Old Skool rave and more.
