“Their sound is a unique mix of three part vocal harmony, rowdy drumming and fuzzed out guitar solos, all at the heart of which lie catchy melodies; its roots rock and country twang but played with a swagger.”

“Batch Gueye brings the compelling music and dance of Senegal to the UK with an new electric and groove-based band from the Bristol area. The musical mix is a blend of Senegalese M'balax with persuasive rhythms of Central Africa and even further afield. Batch's sincerity as a singer is equal to the energy he brings as a dancer, and gifted with a clear and powerful voice he seeks to reach a wider audience with his message of compassion and tolerance.”

“Y CVn are a synth and drums duo, the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Aron Ward and drummer John Bell. Formed in 2013 with their feet firmly planted in Bristol's fertile and nurturing DIY scene, they quickly established themselves as a strong and unpredictable live act, taking everything from house parties to festival stages in their stride with seemingly little regard for the size of room they were in or how many people were watching. Their lo-fi approach to a technically hectic live set up often meant failing equipment and technical setbacks became springboards for wild improvisations aimed directly at the dance floor. To quote: 'Synths are fucked up. '”

“It's funky party time whenever Session One hit the stage with their repertoire of popular faves from Jessie J to Aretha Franklin delivered by tirelessly energetic vocalists and a proper show band with attitude..”
