“As one half of Hexstatic he released the world's first AV album on Ninja Tune; as Holotronica he has created the world's first 3D AV album. Now, for one night only, innovative British visual artist and composer Stuart Warren-Hill takes the Cube to another dimension as he performs live on stage, bringing his spectacular 3D show to Bristol for the very first time. Blending analogue synths & electronica with stunning 3D visuals, Holotronica will fill the auditorium with futuristic spaceships, strange Japanese neon signs, even a cube of cubes - you know you want to witness this.”

“UK premier screening of"Newport Effect"documentary. Infamous as the place where Bob Dylan'went electric' in 1965, The Newport Folk Festival was a stalwart among folk music-lovers ever since its inception in 1959. This film, narrated by Joan Armatrading celebrates the history and legacy of this seminal event, with performances and discussions including Joan Baez, Judy Collins, the Indigo Girls and the late Pete Seeger.”

“This musical army has conquered festival crowds all over the UK fusing big fat doses of Ska and Funk with lashings of Swing, Blues and Hiphop. Throw in some infectious grooves from all over the world and you've got a massive bouncy sound that you just can't help but dance to.”

“They may have started with the usual - reggae, funk, drum'n'bass - but Exeter's Zuri Aura had their own ideas about where to go with all that, and boldly they went. Prog'n'bass? Jazz-dub? It's a rich mix and far from usual but it works a treat and Charlotte Merryweather's fearless vocals are the icing on the cake.”

“Once the familiar tunes of Jewish Klezmer have been through the Tantz treatment you'll never hear them the same again. The Leeds-based quintet call it ElectroKlezmer, and their hard arrangements are based on whiplash rhythms and heart-catching bass and drums that could almost displace the virtuoso clarinet and violin melodies if they weren't played so darned well.”
