Jerry Afraid is a singer/ songwriter based in Bristol, but to use the phrase singer/songwriter kind of sells this performer short. They are songs but not as we know them, acoustic guitar and the soulful haunting voice of jerry afraid is in cased in a soundscapes of weird glitchey industrial beats and polly-rhythms. The use of a Theremin and many other weird devices add to this rich, colourful and sometimes abrasive sound, definitely a thinking man's indie. on the 18th march 2013 he released"These hearts will break" his debut ep on the world. The ep is 6 songs of glitchy avant garde electronic weirdness. The tracks blend influences from the Warp back catalogue and'Amnesiac' period Radiohead gaffer taped together by Jerrys distant and discordant'other room in another world' vocals. innovative but not pretentious its probably one of the most singular works of music you will hear this year.

Taking cues from Jeck, Eno, Marclay, Basinski and DJ Shadow, these six compositions are meticulously constructed from fragments of environmental recordings, thrift store vinyl and instrumental improvisations. Chopped and stitched, processed and reprocessed, source material is recontextualised to create a distinctive sound palette. From the tense, haunted, apprehension of opener'Monachos' to the reflective, nostalgic, melancholia of'Memories 071935', 'Mortlake' presents its focussed, ambient collages with a cinematic and dreamlike intent. Pianos, submerged choirs, brass, static and strains of old jazz and film score textures weave in and out of the mix.

No1 ALbum of 2011 - IndieBendent website- Lonely Tourist is a Scot plying his trade down south at the moment. He writes catchy acoustic tunes. Sir I'm A Good Man is another album I'll happily listen from beginning to end.... Which gives it the top spot on The IndieBendent Top 10 Albums of 2011. his follow up album"i live were you are" an amazing singer/songwriter
