Fasta Benj at The Oxford, Totterdown.

A gig held at The Oxford on Saturday 1st June. The event starts at 20:00.

Put your love in a bag and swing it round your hip...

The very daft people from castle Fasta Benj are overwhelmingly overwhelmed and excited to be playing music to you,

ON YOUR PLANET!!!

It is completely free entry

We are Fasta Benj and we are a seven piece band playing a wild and wonderful roller coaster of sounds and delightful music to tantalise and amaze. Playing an eclectic range of Gypsy type swing, ska, Latin flavours and all sorts of heavier influences including Frank Zappa to Bonzo Dog to Cardiacs to Raymond Scott.

When the windows of heaven open to let in a bit of air, the gods of wonder poke their ears out to have a little listen to the music of the world. At this point Fasta Benj jump out from behind the celestial lamp post and blast the gods with our knees bent, arms stretch, blah, blah, blah, oompah, oompah, hide it discreetly up your jumper. Hot buttered crumpets issue forth or even diminished fifth in the key of C minor and may contain naturally occurring sugars and/or even, nuts! The global escalator is then switched up to maximum speed to allow you, the very good people of real life, free passage to bask in the refreshing and purifying waters that the sound waves carry forth or even seventh in the key of D. As the crumpets of crotchets and semi quavers repeat in rhythm, year on year in waves of gusto the shambola reaches a pulsating and divine climax that even a polite cough wouldn't mask. And so, with an unremarkable remark the narrative is left dangling dangerously mid sentence...
