We Fly EP Launch at The Loco Klub

A gig held at The Loco Klub on Friday 1st November. The event starts at 21:00.

Some of you may know NGAIO as the purple fro'd Booty Bass DJ who gets the party started but this year she has shown us that's not the only string to her bow. Releasing her song Blackbird on Saffron Records on September 19th the song was premiered on Bristol 24/7 and immediately picked up by BBC and Worldwide FM and with support from local radio stations Ujima and BCFM.

Blackbird has been making waves across social media for its hard-hitting lyrics delivered through impassioned spoken word and wrapped up in the intricate harmonies. A journey track put together in Fela Kuti inspired long-form with African percussion and big bassy Bristol undertone, it was written for black women to feel represented and empowered. NGAIO brings together not only the musical sides of herself but also incorporates the work she's been doing around Bristol as part of her involvement in championing inclusion and diversity within the arts.

If you're looking for an eveni=ng of exceptional musical talent, honest thought-provoking content and a big old party, then this is for you. Celebrating the release of her EP on Saffron Records, supported by Red Bull, November 1st will provide:
- A live podcast where NGAIO will be opening up about the EP followed by a Q&A
- First time performance of the EP with her full band
