BREAKBEAT CONNECTION at Red Lion BS5
Donation on door

A gig on Friday 24th October. The event starts at 20:00.

Nicky D’Silva is a cornerstone of the UK’s breakbeat story. As co-founder of CTRL-Z, he helped push the mid-2000s tear-out sound from London basements to global festival rigs, cutting explosive records like “Chemistry / The Tunnel” (Hardcore Beats) and contributing to the Hardwired series. CTRL-Z’s high-impact engineering and raw bass ethos became a calling card, culminating in their heavyweight re-cut “Ruffneck ’09” with The Freestylers & Navigator on Never Say Die, a crossover that connected breaks to the rising bass movement.

Nicky no longer works with Tom; today he’s channeling that legacy into new solo output and label leadership. He runs Breakbeat Connection, a West London imprint/platform dedicated to the future of bass-heavy breakbeat — releasing UK-leaning, jungle-influenced material and spotlighting both veterans and new blood. Live and in the studio he keeps the energy rough, rolling and road-tested, staying true to the culture that raised him while pushing it forward.

Slamboree Soundsystem is the pocket-sized, globally-mobile, missionary commando unit that we use to prepare the World for a full-scale Slamboree invasion.
