NME’s ones to watch, Eades, combine the creative values of Wilco, Sonic Youth and Sparklehorse, with the immediacy of The Velvet Underground and The Clash. Eades have evolved over years of continually touring around the UK and Europe, finely poised between indie rock and alternative 90s. Their tight self-produced sound is glued together by the vocal swapping and storytelling partnership of Harry Jordan and Tom O’Reilly. The narrative of the band has crystallised into a winning calling-card, both epic and intimate, capturing the emotional turbulence of finding your place in a world that’s constantly shifting beneath your feet.
This ‘build it and they will come’ approach has already seen enviable successes and support from the likes of NME, DIY, DORK, The Guardian, international radio stations and Abbey Road Studios. Formed in Bristol in 2020, Wakey Wakey Rise & Shine fuse frilly psychedelic melodies with the fuzzed-up fury of post-punk, influenced by King Gizzard, Snapped Ankles and new wave icons DEVO and B-52s. Known for their playful, unpredictable live shows, the band have built a growing following, with radio support from BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Introducing, and a feature in The Unsigned Guide’s Spotlight blog.

HumDrum are the musical menagerie of Bristol based musicians, each with their own unique sound, which they have combined to create an energetic jazz fusion of iridescence and dissonance. HumDrum is a Bristol based five piece band that originated through a series of encounters in the city’s vivid jam scene. With an eclectic blend of latin rhythms and melancholic melodies, HumDrum explores not only lyrical concepts of emotional hardships and obscurities.
