A
event
held at Small Bar
on Tuesday 18th November. The event starts at 19:00.
Come and make a fluffy, tactile mini rug, or Xmas decoration in this workshop with Shannon, from Paige & Wynter. She'll guide you through the whole process, from threading your needle and making the first stitch, to finishing and admiring your new masterpiece!
Punch needling is a form of needlework, closely related to rug hooking. Also called 'tufting', punch needling involves using a special hollow needle to punch wool into fabric, which is mounted on an embroidery hoop to keep it taut. The needle creates loops that are kept in place with the tension of the fabric. The end result is a highly textured design which is pleasing to look at and touch.
This is the perfect activity for solo crafters, friends or couples.
What to expect:
- Friendly tuition in the cosy upstairs room of Small Bar
- A great selection of colourful yarns to choose from, plus templates to help you
- Leave with a finished mini rug or decoration to be proud of
