Ditch the takeout and start your culinary adventure! Join The Birch Collective and 91 Ways for a 3-part series of free, hands-on cooking sessions designed to build food confidence, improve wellbeing, and bring young people together through food and culture.
About the Collaboration:
91 Ways ([www.91ways.org](http://www.91ways.org)) is a Bristol-based social enterprise that unites communities through the sharing of food and stories. Together with The Birch Collective, a youth nature and wellbeing organisation, this project will provide a supportive space for young people to cook real, nourishing food while exploring global traditions and local ingredients.
Across three monthly sessions, participants will:
-Learn practical cooking skills (knife skills, healthy swaps, budgeting, reducing food waste
-Cook affordable, seasonal meals and healthier versions of takeaway favourites
-Explore the links between food, energy, and mood
-Share stories and cultural food traditions with guest chefs
-Gain confidence and independence in the kitchen
When:
1)Thursday 18th September (1–5pm)
2)Thursday 16th October (1–4 pm)
3)Thursday 20th November (1–4pm)
These cooking sessions are part of Fresh, The Birch Collective’s free weekly group for 16–25 year olds. You can come to one session or all of them – every Thursday, 1–5pm (drop in any time from 1pm, but earlier is better!). Fresh combines outdoor cooking, craft, growing, and wellbeing activities in a relaxed and welcoming space.
