Bristol's newest venue welcomes renowned house music producer Sean McCabe for an eclectic 6.5 hour DJ set with a selection of soul, disco, boogie and house music.
Barely into his 30’s, Sean McCabe has accomplished more than most DJs & Producers will in a lifetime. His story is an impressive one. His discography spans everything from King Street, Strictly Rhythm to Defected Records. Collaborations include remixes for Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Louie Vega, Tony Humphries as well as musical pioneers Roy Ayers, Larry Levan’s NYC Peech Boys and disco royalty Evelyn Champagne King to name only but a few. The release of his debut album “It’s Time” on Joey Negro’s legendary Z Records climbed to the number 1 spot on Traxsource during its first week gaining support from Kiss FM along the way.
As a DJ, he has forged a reputation at the legendary Southport Weekender, where he has performed regularly. Sean has also travelled the world, playing as far afield as Asia and South Africa, as well as regular appearances across Europe and the UK including hot spots such as Pacha and Ministry of Sound. Refreshingly, he prefers gigs in small, intimate venues, where he can make a connection with the crowd.
With a successful album under his belt, his own record label and events : Good Vibrations and notable collaborations with the likes of Karizma, Lay-Far, and Groove Assassin, his reputation for bringing quality soulful dance music to the masses continues to rise.
