Church of the Cosmic Skull - occult psych prog from Nottingham

https://churchofthecosmicskull.bandcamp.com/

"Church of the Cosmic Skull is a twofold entity: a new religious movement who seek to free mankind from their material possessions and unify all living beings into a singular cosmic whole; and a 7-piece supergroup based in Nottingham UK playing Prog/Psych/'70s Rock/Pop. For fans of Black Mountain, Ghost, King Gizzard, Uncle Acid. The combination of guitar, hammond organ, electric cello, bass and drums is a tip of the hat to the Mahavishnu Orchestra sound, but with six-part Queen-esque vocal harmonies and Thin Lizzy pop-rock structures."

Brought together by songwriter Bill Fisher, the group features some of the best musicians in the universe:

Michael Wetherburn - Hammond Organ & BV (Hellset Orchestra, Ulysses Storm)

Loz Stone - Drums (Iron Swan, Rescued by Wolves)

Sam Lloyd - Bass & BV (You Slut!, Pilgrim Fathers)

Jo Joyce - Backing Vocals (Solo Artist)

Amy Nicholson - Electric Cello & BV (Hellset Orchestra, Polymath)

Caroline Cawley - Backing Vocals (Dystopian Future Movies, Club AC30)

Bill Fisher - Guitar & LV (Mammothwing, Distillery Blues Band)

You're Smiling Now But We'll All Turn Into Demons

https://thedemons.bandcamp.com/

Formed in Portsmouth in 2002, inspired by The Stooges, 13th Floor Elevators, Black Sabbath, Can and over the years have shared stages with the MC5, Dead Meadow and Wooden Shjips, to name a few. The Contact High album was released in 2009 and reissued by Cardinal Fuzz in 2014, followed up by the latest album Population IV in 2015.

"This Portsmouth team is a bunch of fire-breathing stoner rockers, and with Population IV they state their devotion to the amp and the sweet leaf with a bang. With the meaty basslines and dirty riffs which sound like invokations to the elder gods of the six-string this album is a testament to all that is heavy, fuzzy and higher than the ISS. Imagine a chance meeting halfway between Black Sabbath and late Earth and you might get close to their sound." - Weed Temple
