A Bristol-based space for folks to gather, make, learn and share through craft.
—
A monthly meet-up for Bristol’s crafty folk at Wiper and True, Old Market Taproom.
Craft/Club is a relaxed evening where people come together to make, share skills, and enjoy working with their hands alongside others. Bring along your sewing, mending, knitting, collage, drawing, calligraphy or any small creative project you’d like to spend time with.
There’s no formal teaching, just a welcoming space to sit together, work on your craft, exchange ideas, and connect with others who enjoy making.
What to expect:
A gentle pause in the week to slow down and create
A relaxed and friendly crafting space
Time to work on your own project
Conversation, inspiration, and shared making
Who is it for?
Anyone who enjoys making things with their hands. From curious beginners to experienced makers, everyone is welcome. Whether you come alone or with friends, Craft/Club is a space to connect through creativity.
Limitations?
To keep the space relaxed and easy, we ask that crafts remain small, analogue, and non-messy. For now, we ask folks to avoid paints, glue-heavy projects, or electrical equipment (such as sewing machines).
What is Craft / Folks?
Rooted in founder Ana’s textile practice and experience teaching and hosting creative spaces, Craft/Folks prioritises process over perfection and community over performance. Each session invites participants to slow down, connect with materials, and explore craft collectively.
Open to beginners and experienced makers alike, Craft/Folks offers a welcoming environment where curiosity, conversation, and shared making sit at the heart of the experience.
Craft/Folks is just beginning, so follow along and keep an eye out for upcoming sessions.
