Get Qweird: Season Two
A Playground For Queer Live Art & Drag
The clowns are back!

8 Weeks.
8 Artists.
8 Alumni.

Season Two of Get Qweird returns on Wednesthey 19th of October at our new home Lost Horizon HQ. The House of Savalon and Lost Horizon are partnering up to bring to you another Get Qweird artist residency, running for eight weeks with eight new artists in residence until Wednesthey 7th December. We'll also be inviting back some of your favourite faces from Get Qweird, Season One, who will come and perform with us each week. Get Qweird is a playground for Queer Live Art & Drag - come as you are, play as you are, let's all go on a journey of growth and transformation together. Each week there will be an open mic space available (just eight in total!) so email us if you would like to partake. [email protected] / [email protected]

Stay tuned, artist announcements coming soon.....

First release £5, Second release £7. Nobody turned away for lack of funds. All contributions pay the artists for their work and helps keeps the night alive. Send an email in advance for guest list. xxxxx

Hosts: Astro-Zenica, Elektra Du Boir and everyone's favourite Gender Criminal, Roux.

Curators: James Crawley, Beau Palmer, Bupie Buiser, Ellie Bartram.

As well as the performance side of our residency, each week Beau Palmer will be hosting a 2 hour workshop series for our artists. They will deliver a history (herstory? Theirstory?) lecture on Queer Live Art, as well as facilitating ideas our group want to explore during the Get Qweird residency to help them with devising work for the stage. Beau will also invite a prominent queer Live Artist working within the city to host a skill-building session on areas such as costume, puppetry, movement and how to write successful funding applications (yes, that ol' chestnut!) to make their work more sustainable.
