When the video leaked, fracturing the wholesome image she had so delicately crafted, Petunia's thousands of followers quickly disposed of any loyalty they had towards her.

Distraught at her perceived dishonesty and outraged at the torrent of vile abuse, she took action.

To fight for the right to be complex, to evaporate the cloud of shame choking her, and to envision a future worth living for, Petunia did the only thing that seemed sensible; she invited the trolls to her funeral.

Watch Me Die is a twisted and absurd one-woman comedy theatre spectacle that playfully explores the phenomenon of online shaming. Set entirely within a funeral, it blends interactive ritual with physical theatre and a smattering of sardonic humour to allow us to laugh and sit with the insanity of our attempts to tik-tok our way to authenticity.
