It's the musical love-in you've all been waiting for. This has been such a long time coming and all of a sudden you get two in two weeks. I had this hair-brained idea: how do I get to hear my favourite deejays when we're always playing on the same night, but in different venues? Simple, play at each other's nights, and give it a fancy name (SOUND SWAP) so it sounds sophisticated and well thought out. The choice for the first one was easy, since Mike Shawe is a) a local legend with an incredible music collection, and b) an old mate, and one of the warmest, funniest dudes you're ever likely to meet. This is one not to miss, Mike's selections and taste are truly for the ears of the connoisseur. I can't wait to hear what he pulls out the racks. All vinyl, no messing about, this is going to be HUUUUUGE!!! This month's poster was designed by another old friend of the HIGH HOPES crew, and an equally affable chap, Bristol graff veteran and ace designer, Jody T.
