From large touring productions to experimental local talent, it's always worth keeping your eyes on smaller venues like The Cube Cinema and The Wardrobe Theatre. It goes without saying that you should always check what's on at the The Old Vic Theatre.

Basket of Light is possibly the best small (400 cap) festival to crop up in Wales (via Bristol). Boasting lighting installations, waged tickets + diverse sounds from the jazz / fusion / funk realms (like Etuk Ubong and Snazzback) to hi-NRG club DJs (like Manuka Honey and Princess Koko). It’s clear the attention here is on the experience, not the profit margin - so you’re in for a good time. More light everywhere!
