Theatre in Bristol

Aside from the annual spectacle of Mayfest, Bristol is always alive with inventine new theatre projects. From large touring productions to experimental local talent, it's always worth keeping your eyes on smaller venues like The Cube Cinema and The Wardrobe Theatre. It goes without saying that you should always check what's on at the The Old Vic Theatre.
After packing-out the Queenshilling to almost bursting, Slaughterhaus' drag ghoul Delirium upgrades Femmegedon's femme / NB performance arts fuckery into a post-apocalyptic future at Lost Horizon. Lineup TBA. A night to celebrate woman and non binary artists DELiRIUM Presents: FEMMEGEDDON at Lost Horizon.
Basket of Light is possibly the best small (400 cap) festival to crop up in Wales (via Bristol). Boasting lighting installations, waged tickets + diverse sounds from the jazz / fusion / funk realms (like Etuk Ubong and Snazzback) to hi-NRG club DJs (like Manuka Honey and Princess Koko). It’s clear the attention here is on the experience, not the profit margin - so you’re in for a good time. More light everywhere! Basket of Light at Tambourine Hands.
