Sam Whitlock is a singer/songwriter from Bristol, England. His music is an acoustic blend of folk, punk and raucous bluesy rock.
Notable songs include"Drinking Beer & Watching TV" a self explanatory little ditty, "Walpurga" which tells the story of 16th century witch Walpurga Hausmannin and"Double Barrelled Jack"; a tragic tale of unrequited love.
Russell Toomey first made a name for himself a few years ago when he wrote 13 love songs that he spat out in a primeval punk snarl under the guise of My Red Cell. They were released on the album'13 in my 31' through the now defunct V2 label. Recently he released the critically acclaimed album'Cutting Noses, Chasing tales' with his second creation Innercity Pirates which was produced by Pedro Ferreira (The Darkness, Permission to Land).
To date Toomey has received support from Radio 1's Zane Lowe, 6 Music. Xfm and Radio 2 and won plaudits from NME, Clash, The Big Issue, Guardian Guide and Sunday Times Culture. Russell has recently also had songs featured on a Guinness advert and a Levis campaign.
