More great jazz brought to us courtesy of JayGeeBee Promotions:

'Rising star saxophonist, and one of the most sought after young musicians on the London scene, George Crowley has just released his first album (on Michael Janisch's Whirlwind Recordings) with his quartet to rave reviews. Crowley's musical world is playful and unpretentious but the songs themselves take the listener on a journey from gentle and lyrical plains through to the tempestuous and fiery realms of freer improvisation to more straight ahead jazz playing referencing an impressive range of influences.'

'Creating long, flowing melodic lines with a more contemporary edge, Crowley has the potential to make a major impact impressive stuff from an imaginative young talent.' (Bruce Lindsay/All About Jazz).

'Rich with passion and pathos ****.' (Mike Hobart/Financial Times).

At this gig, longstanding members of Crowley's quartet - drummer James Maddren and bassist Calum Gourlay - will be joined by the incredible pianist Ivo Neame (Phronesis, Cinematic Orchestra).
