on Thursday 30th September. The event starts at 18:30.
Cuculi Records presents an evening of unplugged music & spoken word in the intimate garden of Aesop's, Bristol.
We've carefully curated an evening of established & emerging local artists that we think you need to hear:
ANNA ANISE
Armed with strings in various guises, Anna takes harmonic storytelling into new territory. Unpacking complex themes from consumerism to womanhood, her attentive yet assured songwriting sheds new light on the relatable. She's joined for this performance by two special guests.
QUEEN SALLY
Unique hymns, psalms and devotional rants from British-Iranian singer and spiritual practitioner Beloved Sara Zaltash (aka Queen Sally) and their 10-string lyre. "Zaltash is electrifying... See her if you can." The Guardian.
TOM SASTRY
Acclaimed poet Tom Sastry spins stories that are as utterly sublime as they are relatable, with equal measure of hope and melancholy in each carefully woven metaphor.
Doors 6.30pm, first act 7pm, last orders 9.30pm. Drinks & food available. There will be a short interval. Tickets are £5 - please pay on arrival. Entry to the garden via Brenner Street off St Mark's Road.
Hosted by Cuculi co-founder Bethany M. Roberts, who steps away from her usual place in Hands of the Heron's choral alt-folk to explore new solo material on voice, banjo & guitar.
