Mend in Public Day is happening across various spaces in Bristol and we are joinin the movement!

We are hosting a donation based workshop to do visible meding on clothing items that could use some extra love. You are invited to bring a pre-owned item that you'd like to exchange. Please check your item is in a good condition to be used (not ripped or severely damaged).

Timetable:
- 2- 3:30 pm: First visible mending workshop, maximum 20 participants per session
- 4- 5:30 pm: Second visible mending workshop, maximum 20 participants per session
- Everyone is welcome! Children of 6+ years old can join only accompanied by an adult who takes full responsibility.
- Maximum 20 seats available at a time for the visible
- The space has grandfloor accessing.

The hosting space is the Afghan Tasty Corner based at 1 Oxford Pl, Easton, Bristol BS5 0NR. This space is an Universal Community Hub operating on 'pay what you feel' model, serving hot drinks, homemade juice and fresh cooked meals.

Donations are welcomed to cover costs of materials and facilitation. All materials provided. A donation will be made to the Afghan Tasty Corner to help recover costs after a break in.

Shika is a textile artist and a combined arts worker passionate about community support through arts, She has been involved in projects faciitating session for a diversity of community groups including Pakistani elders with dementia, visiually impaired adults, children with learning difficulties and mental health focused projects.
