Douglas Macgregor and Jim Ghedi at All Hallows Hall
£6 Entry on the door

A gig on Friday 16th September. The event starts at 19:00pm.

Two of Britain's most exciting young guitarist's gracing All Hall in Bristol.
They have to be seen and heard to be believed.
'Amazing' in a word.

MacGregor began musical life in various Glasgow rock,
jazz, experimental and poly-stylistic bands, including the
eclectic Punch and the Apostles, but a 5 year stint in Berlin
saw him refocus more on his own interest in natural acoustic
sounds while keeping this borderless approach to style.
Nylon-strung guitar compositions are at the forefront of his
latest album, The Stillness Dancing , which also includes
compositions and improvisations with One Ensemble
members on clarinet and cello as well as electronics from
Glasgow sound artists Adam Campbell, Gavin Thompson
and Charlie Knox.
The sound is inviting, it uses the richness of the acoustic instruments and yet there is an underlying
uncertainty and uneasiness, even humour at times, that permeates the album.
This album has been many years in the making and has the breadth and depth to show for it.
