The Bute Ensemble was formed in 2014 with the aim of bringing classical chamber music to new and alternative venues.
Between them, the musicians have played for some of the UK's top orchestras, including Welsh National Opera, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Sarah Thornett (violin), Maia Broido (viola) and Alison Gillies (cello) became friends through a shared enjoyment of fine wine and poker and their love of chamber music is evident in all their performances.
As a group they have performed with many other musicians and look forward to exciting collaborations in the future.
Their programme will include works by Beethoven and Schubert as well as some lesser-known more modern repertoire in a classical recital in the intimate setting of The Alma Tavern Theatre.
