“What do you do when you’re not sure?”
Misplaced take on Doubt: A Parable, John Patrick Shanley’s mesmerizing Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play set in a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, a year after the assassination of John F Kennedy.
Sister Aloysius, the severely conservative and fear-inspiring Principal of Saint Nicholas Church School suffers from an extreme loathing of the progressive and popular school priest Father Flynn. When she learns that the priest has taken ‘special interest’ in a troubled twelve-year old African American student, she sets about uncovering the perceived sexual abuse with a vengeance.
Misplaced Director Jo Butler returns with this powerful play, made into a film starring Meryl Streep and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
