Do you feel like you're constantly falling short of society's expectations?
Do you dread telling others that you never got your Maths GCSE?
Well, you're not alone. In I Don't Have a Maths GCSE, Mia Borthwick takes us on a laugh-out-loud musical comedy journey through her own insecurities and low self-esteem. From struggling with school to feeling like a failure in her career, Mia turns her personal struggles into relatable and hilarious anecdotes. Whether you've failed a test or suck at being nice to customers in retail, this show is a reminder that our individual quirks and foibles can make us all the more interesting in the end.
About the writer/performer:
Mia is a West Country gal through and through. She is a theatre maker and musician currently based in Weston-super-Mare. As well as performing her comedy songs locally, she’s taken two 5 star shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with two theatre companies (Tough Yolk and Zero Hour Theatre) as well as co-founding a local cabaret group in Weston. She uses humour to shed light on universal experiences, making people feel seen and understood. Her creativity knows no bounds as she finds humour in everyday situations, turning the mundane into something entertaining and reminding us not to take life too seriously.
