The 625 Company present Alan Bennett’s ‘Talking Heads’ – three short monologues from the award-winning radio and TV series.
‘Soldiering On’ tells the story of Muriel, whose husband has just died, leaving her rather well off, until her son Giles gets his hands on the money and Muriel comes out the loser.
In ‘A Chip in the Sugar’, Graham is a middle-aged bachelor, emotionally retarded and dependent on his mother, who struggles with his insecurities when Mother meets an old flame and seems set to marry.
‘Her Big Chance’ finds actress Lesley having just completed filming of a video for the overseas market (in which she plays Travis, a good time girl who enjoys life to the full) but who appears blind to the sinister undertones of her story.
