Daan's experience as a film composer has influenced his concert work, bringing filmic emotion to his jazz-centred compositions. Daan has recently started his own group and comes to the Alma with his piano trio along with Federico Leonori (d. bass) and Rob Brian (drums).

About the trio...

Daan Temmink is a film composer, producer and jazz pianist living in Bradford-on-Avon. His styles vary from orchestral to electronic to jazz.
Daan obtained his Masters in Composing for Film at Amsterdam Conservatory in 2010 and previously studied Jazz Piano (BMus) at the Enschede Conservatory in the Netherlands.

Federico Leonori is a double bass player based in Bristol, and very active in the city's vibrant jazz scene.
Originally from Rome, Federico earned his Masters in Classical Double Bass Performance at the prestigious Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia studying under reknowned bassist Daniele Roccato, later studying jazz with the great Eddie Gomez.

Rob Brian is a touring/session drummer based in Bath and Bristol. He has worked with Goldfrapp, Souxsie Soux, Peter Gabriel, Simple Minds and more. Rob appears on the album "Simili" by Italian singer Laura Pausini, nominated for a Grammy at this year's awards.
