Jack is nineteen and works at a hotel. In the aftermath of grief, he is surrounded by a suffering mother who can’t acknowledge what has happened, and friends who don’t know how to. Jack is struggling to make sense of this unexpected change, unable to communicate how he feels in fear that he will “make it real.”
He is quiet. He is lost. He is grieving.
“Shroud” explores how we cope with life and loss; and why we often choose to avoid grief, no matter the consequences.
Founded in March 2018, Loupe Theatre was formed by three Drama students at Bath Spa
