Queen Bee Sauna Sounds at Ardagh Community Sauna
£2.50 Music only Tickets, 18.00-22.00

A gig on Friday 3rd April. The event starts at 18:00.

The Ardagh Community Sauna Presents: Queen Bee Sauna Sounds Let’s make it a very Good Friday!

Step into the warmth of the sauna and let sound and steam transport you into another world. Join us for an unforgettable evening with Bristol’s own Queen Bee — the Queen of the Bass Line and one of the city’s most respected DJs.

When underground dance music collided with Jamaican sound system culture in the late 1980s, Queen Bee was already at the controls. From cutting her teeth on St. Paul’s pirate radio stations and Gambia’s Radio 1 to spinning tunes in warehouses and basement parties, she has spent decades earning her place among dancefloor royalty.

Beyond the decks, Queen Bee has helped shape the scene by forming female DJ collectives and talent agencies, touring as Massive Attack’s regular DJ, and bringing her unmistakable sound to clubs and festivals across Europe and beyond. Her recent appearances — from residencies at Spiritland (Kings Cross) and Bristol’s Star & Garter to guest mixes on Ujima Radio and acclaimed sets at the Radio 6 Festival — show why she remains a vital force in the culture.

For this special Ardagh Community Sauna event, Queen Bee will deliver a deep, groove-filled DJ set to accompany your sauna journey. Expect a rich blend of booty-shaking Reggae, Afrobeat, Rare Groove, Funk, and Dancehall, woven together with her signature smooth transitions and deep musical knowledge. As heat rises and steam fills the air, her rhythms will guide the evening — a unique fusion of music, warmth, and community energy.

What to Expect:

• A groove-filled DJ set from Bristol legend Queen Bee
• A musically guided community sauna session filled with warmth and connection
• A chance to unwind, recharge, and share a unique sensory experience
