Holly Thomas: Half Light at Arnolfini
See event details

A event held at Arnolfini on Friday 14th November. The event starts at 16:00.

Performances at 4pm and 7:30pm. Touch tours at 3pm and 6:30pm.

Immerse yourself in a world where sight is not assumed.

Telling the story of a mother and boy, of a storm and a sunrise, of love, protection and letting go. Half Light invites you to awaken your senses and tune in to a reality where movement is revealed in sound.
Part biographical, part fiction, Half Light draws upon Holly Thomas’ lived experience of visual impairment and parenting to unmask a multi-generational story about the courage it takes to send your child into a world that may not always understand.

Designed to be experienced without the need for separate Audio Description, Half Light is performed in the softly lit round, where dance and storytelling merge with textural, multi-located sound design.

Dance like everyone is listening.

There will be a pre-show touch tour 1 hour before each performance. The touch tour will last approximately 25 minutes.
During the touch tour there will be an opportunity to: meet the cast, experience moments of choreography from the show, handle costumes, with audio descriptions provided, choose seating that best suits your particular visual access requirements.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
