Uprooted Poetry Films | Refugees & Migration at Arnolfini

A event held at Arnolfini on Saturday 13th April. The event starts at 19:00.

This Lyra Festival event is now rescheduled for April 13th at 7pm-8pm in Arnolfini's main theatre! Liberated Words present Uprooted – a touring screening of short films by international poetry filmmakers on the refugee crisis and migration. Our aim is to show how artists can provide a different, more empathetic view than that portrayed in the media. We have films from artists such as: Ghayath Almadhoun and Marie Silkeberg, Jan Baeke, Alfred Marseille, Maciej Piatek and poet Hollie McNish. This event is free and is part of Lyra Bristol Poetry Festival. The event will be hosted by Lucy English and Sarah Tremlett, co-directors of Liberated Words. Uprooted has been previously screened at the North Cornwall Book Festival and The Bath Spa University Empathy conference.
