A Dance A Day at Arnolfini

A event held at Arnolfini on Saturday 4th July. The event starts at 14:00.

A thirty minute performance presented twice at Arnolfini, at 2pm and 6pm.

A joyful and moving performance exploring the power of dance to connect us.

Through movement, text and poetry, three performers bring to life the support, care and fun that comes from dance, and the human connection and community that it creates. A Dance A Day celebrates movement as a source of care, confidence and human connection.

Dance, movement and art have existed through the centuries as a form of expression and connection. A Dance A Day explores how movement plays a huge part in our physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

Whether discovered in childhood or later in life, dance becomes a companion, a source of motivation and a way of building connection. Through movement, text and poetry, the performers offer glimpses into the many ways dance can shape our lives.

By Divija Melally, in collaboration with Saili Katebe, Adrian Longstaffe, Alexandra Pickford and Peter Thompson. Commissioned by Akademi x Dance East. Further supported through funding from Arts Council England.
