A event held at Arnolfini on Saturday 7th November. The event starts at 19:30.

A speculative new performance, exploring memory, technology and life in the age of big data.

An evening in the future. The reclusive novelist Jack Wrighter is struggling to finish his final masterpiece. He’s not sure how much of it he’s actually written. Maybe the algorithm completed his life’s work when he was elsewhere doom-scrolling his feed. If the Cloud remembers all these memories it's created, what is there left for him to do?

In this new performance, integrating poetic text, Bodies in Flight explores the impact of big data on our lives when the Cloud knows more about us than we can remember and tells us what we want before we know it ourselves.

Founded by Sara Giddens and Simon Jones in 1989, Bodies in Flight make performances that challenge and re-energise the relationship between audiences, performers and place. Mixing movement with new writing, they often collaborate across art forms and communities.
