Mother Deer is a beautiful and playful show for family audiences that captures imaginations and inspires deeper thinking about our environment, animals and our place in the natural world.

Inspired by The Lost Words by Jackie Morris and Robert Macfarlane (Penguin), the performance includes music from the album Spell Songs - a call to reawaken our love of the wild.

Based on an ancient Northern European folk tale, Mother Deer blends aerial acrobatics, dance and sensory theatre.

Through light, shadow, live music and sound, Mother Deer reminds us of our deep connection to the natural world and indigenous land-based festivals. It encourages the audience to explore natural environments with confidence and curiosity ,with a focus on playing together in nature.
