The Mid-Autumn Festival has been celebrated for over 3,000 years in China and in Southeast Asian countries like Vietnam and Malaysia. Families of Chinese heritage right across the globe will enjoy a special reunion dinner on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese Calendar. In the evening, when the full moon rises, families will celebrate this special day with special mooncakes, the best green tea, and fruits to keep the bittersweet legend alive. Colourful lanterns are made to light up and parade in their neighbourhoods.
