A Free day event of musical resources and art-based approaches to support young people affected by adverse life events. These have been developed through STALWARTS, a European-funded project empowering educators and other professionals to use music and the arts to support vulnerable young people in the classroom. Members of the project from the Novalis Trust and the University of the West of England will present the results from co-ordinating small classroom activities and will provide background context to the project. Attendees will hear about two new UWE Continuing Professional Development modules for educators and other professionals, focussing on the arts and relational health which have been key outputs for STALWARTS. Participants will be actively involved in playing and listening to music.
