Imran Perretta (b. 1988, London) lives and works in London. Working across the moving-image, sound, performance and poetry, Perretta's work addresses biopower, marginality and the (de)construction of cultural histories.
Imran was nominated for the Jarman Award in 2019 and was a winner of the Jerwood/FVU award in 2017 and a Paul Hamlyn Foundation Artist Award in 2020. This year he was also named a Turner Prize Bursary winner for his most recent moving image work, the destructors.
