As we approach Hallowe’en and Samhain, come and get into the mood with some atmospheric unaccompanied harmony singing in the beautiful acoustic of the Anglican chapel. These will be intimate, indoor shows with limited capacity, and you're encouraged to get tickets early.
Heartwood Chorus sing original, spellbinding arrangements of songs whose murky origins stretch back centuries. As well as keeping alive the folk music of past tradition, they also perform versions of modern classics of the vibrant contemporary folk scene.
They sing of lost love, of protest and rebellion, of unity and friendship, of the turning of the seasons, of yearning and desire. They breathe new life into songs their grannies taught them, some with pathos, some with humour and all in beautiful harmony. For these shows, designed specifically for the Anglican Chapel at Arnos Vale Cemetery, you can add songs of ghosts, witchcraft, prophecy and the afterlife into the mix.

Refreshments available - Arnos Vale's Atrium Cafe will be open from 10-4pm (situated in a glass pavilion adjacent to the Spielman Centre).
The performance will be indoors, in the Anglican Chapel. Originally built in 1839 the Anglican Chapel is a Grade II listed building, which has been restored to its former glory and is now a magnificent event space.
The cemetery is beautiful, and allowing some extra time before or after the concert for a walk around is recommended.
