Jolly, Film Screening and Death Cafe

Jolly, Film Screening and Death Cafe at Arnos Vale Cemetery

An event on Sunday 15th November. The event starts at 13:30.

We are very excited to share the film Jolly in Bristol!

The short film 'Jolly' (2026) by Ebba Stoppelenburg will screened on its premiere showing in the UK.

Doors open 1.20pm. The film begins at 1.30pm.
The film is in Swedish with English subtitles.

The Death Cafe begins at 2pm and runs until 4pm.

ABOUT THE FILM:
"For generations, my family has had a human skull at home. In ‘Jolly’ we journey through historical, ethical, scientific and spiritual perspectives in order to try to grasp who this individual was and how we should properly care for their remains."

ABOUT DEATH CAFE:
Death Cafe is a melting pot for perspectives on death. It is a philosophical space where everybody is welcome to share their own ideas and listen to others ideas on death. Subjects touched upon can for example be about thoughts on your own death, burial rites around the world, rites throughout history and religious or non-religious perspectives on death.
