MATERIA OSCURA - Free exhibition by Annalucia Bruni and Performance by Viola Bruni

Opening night performance, 7.30 pm on 12th May at D, Unit, Durnford St, Ashton Gate, Bristol BS3 2AW

Annalucia Bruni is an Italian, Bristol-based artist trained as a painting restorer and decorator. With her first exhibition Materia Oscura, she presents a series of original ink and watercolours drawings, collages, and lino prints.
The artworks presented are part of an ongoing research of Anna’s own raw, unfiltered sign, through which she seeked to explore lightness and exactness.

Anna’s dense microcosm inspired her sister Viola to try to immerse bodies in the artworks and see what story could emerge. The performance presented is the start of a journey of discovery of how a full physical theatre show could be inspired by and dialogue with the artworks. Viola is a recent graduate of the Circomedia MA in Directing Circus
