held at Bank Tavern
on Friday 12th July. The event starts at 21:00.
SAM REDMORE has built a name for himself over the last few years for crafting soul-drenched remixes and reworks of both solidified classics and lesser-known material. He’s been driven by support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Quantic, Rob Da Bank, Nightmares On Wax, Huey Morgan, Don Letts, The Nextmen, Jeremy Sole, Lauren Laverne, Tim ‘Love’ Lee and most prominently Craig Charles.
Originally purpose-built for inclusion in his DJ sets – which can range from cumbia, afrobeat, samba, funk and reggae through to house, broken beat, disco and everything in between – his reworkings of classics by the likes of Bob Marley, Q-Tip, Masters At Work and Stevie Wonder have found their way into the record boxes of discerning DJs worldwide.
“One of the UK’s biggest soul & funk DJs” – Craig Charles, BBC Radio 6 Music.
Residing in Bristol but originally from Birmingham’s eclectic party scene, Jam Hott head honcho Ben Dunn has been rocking house-party selections of Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Disco, Breaks and Drum & Bass for the best part of 10 years, supporting the likes of Krafty Kuts, DJ Yoda, DJ Format, The Nextmen, Scratch Perverts and DJ Maseo from De La Soul.
