Friday folk punk fundraiser for BASE :: at BASE social centre, Easton
£5 suggested donation (cash only)

A gig on Friday 16th February. The event starts at 19:30.

Join us at BASE social centre in Easton for a beautiful mixed bag of lefty folk, folk punk and musical storytelling. Infused with revolutionary vision and deep-diving into the depths of life, each of our acts has something unique and radical to offer.

Money taken on the door will be split between the artists and a donation for BASE.

BOOM BOOM ACOUSTIC RACOON
Bristol's favourite queer anarcho ska-punk trio from Bristol treating us to a special acoustic set! They describe themselves as 80% politics + 30% nonsense. They enjoy singing about everything from biscuit heists to anti-fascism.

ROOTWEAVE
Rootweave brings together folk, punk and spoken word. With a powerful voice and heart they traverse stormy seas of grief, curiosity, community, ancestry, transformation and bearing witness to these uncertain times. Listening to Rootweave feels like warmth, rest, and the reflections of coming home to ourselves during troubled times.

BEGGARS BUTTONS
Welsh trio playing mud-spattered, windswept and atmospheric folk music with a beautiful anarchist vision. Let them take you on a journey through sound and song.

SIMON HEAD MODE
Kicking things off is Simon from Bristol-based post-punk band Big Head Mode. If you've been lucky enough to catch Simon playing acoustically before, you'll know the energy and warmth he brings to the room. Toe-tapping, singalong folk punk vibes.
