Authentic Voice Design: Vocal Improvisation & Performance Workshop at Be Vocal
See event details

A event on Today. The event starts at 19:00.

Ever got on the mic and felt nervous, like your voice wasn’t quite yours? That’s often a sign your authentic sound is being covered up. This workshop is about unpacking that. Authentic Voice Design is an immersive session for anyone interested in their voice: singers, vocalists and curious creatives who want to connect more deeply with their own voice, and understand what it really means to perform. No experience necessary. The workshop benefits from attracting all levels of singing ability. From beginner to professional. We explore your connection with your voice, the meaning behind your sound, and how to sing unrestricted by genre. Through foundations of healthy technique, interpretation and improvisation, you’ll build breath, resonance, control and projection, but always in service of expression. Technique isn’t the end goal. It’s the support system that lets you sing with freedom, confidence and personality. Expect practical exercises that immediately apply to phrasing, emotional delivery and spontaneous expression. You’ll experiment with solo singing, explore improvisation, and learn how to embody a song so it feels alive and genuinely yours. This is not about sounding like anyone else or chasing “perfect” notes. It’s about developing a reliable instrument that allows real meaning and presence to come through. Open to beginners, experienced singers and creative explorers alike. If you’re ready to feel more at home in your own voice, then this is for you. Facilitated by Experimental-Pop artist and Vocalist BexX, this is the sister workshop to the Be Experimental Interactive Concerts. This workshop dives deeper into the technique behind the improvisation, whereas the interactive concerts are all about jamming and performing.
