Stokes Croft Family Day's Launch at BIMM
£5 Refundable/ Redeemable deposit

A event on Sunday 1st June. The event starts at 12:30.

The first Stokes Croft Family Day will kick off at BIMM on Moon Street, with an audience participation Capoeira Session from 12.30-1.30pm. Here, you’ll also have a chance to encounter escapees from Banksy’s Mild Mild West Graffiti mural up the road, as riot police dance with a teddy bear brandishing a molotov cocktail!Do not miss this unusual and artistic imagining of Banksy’s famous mural, retold through the popular Brazilian combat dance, Capoeira. After Banksy’s characters leave the stage, there’ll be a traditional capoeira exhibition, including live music from traditional Brazilian instrumentalists. PLUS, if you fancy yourself a budding capoeira dancer, there will be a chance to get involved in a fun, participatory dance and rhythm session! All ages and stages welcome - there is a way to get involved for everyone! There’ll also be a digital exhibition on the big screens at BIMM, including children’s art work, archival images from the street’s history, and special offers for you across the day. (To enter your child’s artwork, take a photograph and email the highest quality version to [email protected] by Sunday 25th May.) After the Capoeira event at Bimm, Stokes Croft will come alive with offers of food, deals for families, money off in shops, and fun activities for you and your kids! Explore Stokes Croft from 1.30-4pm! Check the Visit Stokes Croft website and our social channels @CompassPresents for updates and more info on other activities, as plans for the day progress! **Please note - this ticket is for the Caporia session at BIMM only**.
