on Saturday 28th September. The event starts at 19:00.
Deep within the woods of the unconscious mind, beneath shadowy thickets of half-remembered dreams, within the rustle of branches lurk the ghosts of your darkest fears. The Autumn equinox has tipped the earth into shadow. The woodland holds a secret. The nights are drawing in and the owls are not what they seem…
Compass Presents and Encounters Film Festival are joining forces to bring you a delightfully dark evening of cinema. Join us for an outdoor expanded cinema screening of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.
// ABOUT THE FILM //
David Lynch’s masterful 1992 film offers the perfect introduction to the iconic world of Twin Peaks. Driven by Sheryl Lee’s heart-stopping performance as Laura Palmer, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me offers an achingly melancholic, nightmarish vision of an innocent torn apart by incomprehensible forces.
Following on from the success of The Wickerman in 2017, and Compass-Encounters collaboration Arcadia in 2018, the team are back for a third year of outdoor cinema in Boiling Wells Amphitheatre in St Werburghs, Bristol.
To mark our 25th festival edition, Encounters is throwing it back to our roots with a 90s-inspired programme strand, including this thrilling outdoor event celebrating the legendary David Lynch whose art has taken many forms including short films and features.
Event Open 19.00. Film rolls 19.40. Event Close 22.00.
Age certification: 18
