Nature dance movement lab at Brandon Hill
A cute tiny sliding scale

A event on Thursday 29th May. The event starts at 12:00.

Hi! I'm Anastasia, a movement artist. Join me for an outdoor movement workshop where we explore movement in natural landscapes. The 'lab' in the title means that we'll engage in creative research together — exploring various questions through improvised movement. We *might* come up with performance by the end of it

Some of the questions that inspire me: how can I treat what surrounds me — the plants, the sunlight, the birdsong — as partners to my dance? Can the everchanging conditions choreograph our collective dance? How does my anatomy — the flesh, bones and fluids — relate to the natural world outside of me? What if the edges are illusory?

WHAT TO EXPECT: I'll suggest a physical warm-up in the beginning, and for the rest of the session I will guide you through a series of prompts to move individually, as a group and sometimes in pairs. No particular experience is necessary, all are welcome! And it's completely fine to attend single workshops rather than the whole series – although the latter is, of course, best:)

Contact me on instagram @Anastasia_dahl if you have any questions. We'll meet at Charlotte Street entrance to Brandon Hill and walk to our spot together from there.

Entry requirements: 16+
